Food for Life: Food and Mood

This class will focus on foods that help boost mood while alleviating moodiness and anxiety. Studies show improvements in mood, alertness, and focus when following a plant-based diet.  Anti-inflammatory foods, including fruits and vegetables, combined with a high fiber diet boosts metabolism, and fosters healthy gut bacteria.  We will discuss how these changes lead to remarkably favorable effects in the brain. 

This class features an informative video, group discussion, and cooking demonstrations, along with handouts of easy and affordable recipes participants can prepare at home.
